• Placement tests can be taken at the school or by internet at no additional cost.

• Breakthrough A1

In this level the student is able to:
Understand and use familiar everyday expressions + very basic phrases,
introduce her/himself and others; ask/answer questions about personal details,
interact in a simple way if another person talks slowly and clearly and wants to cooperate.

• Waystage A2

In this level the student is able to:
Understand sentences, common expressions, items of immediate relevance (basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
Communicate with simple and direct exchanges of information.
Communicate ones background, environment, matters related to immediate needs.

• Threshold B1

In this level the student:
Understands main points on familiar situations, work, school, and leisure.
Deals in Spanish with situations encountered in travel circumstances.
Converses about topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
Describes experiences and events, dreams, hopes, ambitions, and express opinions and plans.

• Vantage B2

In this level the student:
Understands main ideas of concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in a specialized field.
Interacts without strain and with fluency and spontaneity with native speakers.
Speaks and writes on a wide range of subjects; can explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

• Effective Operational Proficiency C1

In this level the student:
Understands a wide range of demanding, longer texts and recognizes implicit meaning.
Expresses himself fluently and spontaneously.
Uses language flexibly and effectively for social, academic, and professional purposes.
Produces clear, well-structured, detailed written and oral texts on complex subjects, show controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

• Mastery C2

The Superior or Proficiency level uses special and more complex materials. To reach this level the student must be able to successfully produce all verb tenses and grammatical structures and correctly use advanced vocabulary in the syntax of a native speaker. This advanced knowledge and vocabulary will enable the student to communicate in all types of conversations.
